I thought that those of you who have gone through dog training should become aware of dog training’s top songs so you can hum them, or sing if you have the voice for it.
Here they are, along with their words.
Wasted Days & Wasted Nights
Wasted days & wasted nights, that I spent in training you,
You still won’t sit,
You still won’t come,
You still won’t stay,
What am I supposed to do?
How Do You Solve A Problem Like My Dog?
(How do you solve a problem like Maria–Sound of Music)
How do you solve a problem like my dog?
How do make him sit and then lie down?
How do you make him stay, And listen to all I say?
The trainer says practice every day.
Oh, how do you solve a problem like my dog?
Oh, how many times must I pay?
Wasted Time (Eagles)
Well baby, there you stand
With your little leash, down in your hand
Oh, my God, you can’t believe it’s happening again
Your dog is gone, and you’re all alone
and it looks like the end.
And you’re back out on the street.
And you’re tryin’ to remember.
How much have you paid?
You don’t know why it fails.
You don’t care much for your trainer’s touch,
And they can’t teach your dog.
You never thought you’d be alone this far down the line
And I know what’s been on your mind
You’re afraid it’s all been wasted time
My Heroes Have Always Been Trainers
I grew up a-dreamin’ of bein’ a trainer and lovin’ the trainers’ ways.
Pursuin’ the life of the dog trainer’s ego,
I charged all that client’s would pay.
I learned all the rules of a modern-day trainer,
Blame owners if I can’t succeed.
Just charge what you can from the owners and leave them
With a dog that they don’t understand.
Trainers are special with their own brand of misery,
From screwin’ the public too long.
You could be broke and your dog way too old,
Before knowin’ you done it all wrong.
Inventin’ new methods, ‘stead of takin’ the heat,
I take all that the clients will pay.
Old worn-out owners, and old worn-out doggies,
And not one has learned how to stay.
My heroes have always been trainers. And they still are, it seems. Gladly they’ll charge you, nothin’ they’ll teach you,
‘Cept their scams and their dog trainin’ schemes.
